The Danish esports organization Astralis has decided to leave Rainbow Six Siege’s competitive scene after it was placed fourth at the Six Invitational 2023.
“As a result of the development of the league agreement, the conditions for running a healthy team organization in Rainbow 6 have deteriorated significantly. Therefore, with regret, Astralis today announces the organization’s withdrawal from Rainbow 6 and further participation in the North American League,” noted the Astralis statement.
Anders Hørsholt, CEO of Astralis, has said that Astralis US Inc remains in function to maintain Astralis’ position in North America in connection with potential future activity.
The Rainbow Six Invitational 2023 took place in Montreal (Canada) at the Place Bell arena on February 7-19. The tournament was won by G2 Esports, while Astralis took fourth place and earned $170,000.
