G2 Esports will not renew the contract with coach Thomas “Shas” Lee after August 13.
He will continue working with the team to help them qualify for the Berlin Major.
Shas have permission to begin exploring their opportunities and future with other teams. He is open to offers as a manager, coach or analyst.
G2 has struggled in recent times, finishing fifth, second, and seventh in the three EUL stages in 2021. The team also was only ranked in the top 16 at SI 2021 and was also crashed in the Mexico Major at the bottom of its group.
Lately, G2 failed to qualify for SI 2022. With three losses before starting Stage 2 of the EUL, Shas is now leaving his post after four years.
