Ninjas in Pyjamas – slow start

The Brazilian squad started with a historical achievement, being able to conquer the first Six Invitational for the Brazilian region. In Copa Elite Six, Ninjas in Pyjamas did it again and overcame Team oNe in the grand final. After those two big achievements for the Brazilian team, the Ninjas disappointed in Mexico’s Major, without being able to get through the group stage.

The next challenge for the team was Sweden’s Major where the team found itself again and achieved another grand-final, this time against FaZe Clan. In a best of five, all the maps were played but FaZe took the win. In Brasileirão Finals, Ninjas in Pyjamas wasn’t capable to overcome Team Liquid and lost 3-1.

The new year started a bit slowly for the Brazilian squad with a Six Invitational beyond expectations. With the chance to revalidate the title, Ninjas fell in after losses to TSM and MIBR.

For 2022, the team considered some changes but all stays the same for the new season.

Black Dragons – little huge changes

The Brazilian squad only promoted one change in the active roster but lost the in-game-leader, Vinícius “live” dos Santos to 00Nation as reported by BLIX.GG, as also the coach Henrique “sSeiiya” Sanchez and the analyst that officially joined XSET.

Black Dragons added nade and Igor “Freezao” Silve to fill the coach role. BLIX.GG learned that Ronaldo “ion” Osawa considered retirement but he decided to stay. The new player is not an IGL and Black Dragons should pass by some changes in roles and in a tactical way with a new coach staff. As also reported by BLIX.GG, three players from Black Dragons were considered in 00Nation.

In 2021, Black Dragons were still able to get one trophy, Copa do Brasil in November. The team missed the chance to qualify to the Six Invitational, losing to MIBR in the grand-final of the LATAM qualifier. In Brasileirão finished in 7th, one place behind the qualification for the finals.

w7m – new year, new blood

The bulls signed with two new talents that promise to show their level in the elite of Rainbow Six Siege, Gabriel “volpz” Fernandes from Team Singularity and João “jv92” Vitor from Golden Kids.

w7m wasn’t that good in the last edition of Brasileirão, finishing in the 9th place, one place above the relegation place. The Brazilian squad lost to Black Dragons in the grand-final of Copa do Brasil.

The new blood put the expectations on w7m much higher and time will tell if the team will be able to make good performances in the new season.

MIBR – the title desire

Made in Brasil had a turbulent season with one of the players, Felipe “Felipox” Lucia stepping down because of an injury. The Brazilian squad started 2021 with 3rd place in the Six Invitational however the necessity of playing with a stand-in and the injury of one of the most crucial players made the team fail Mexico and Sweden’s Major.

However, the team was still capable to reach the Brasileirão finals and losing to Team Liquid in the semi-finals. MIBR played the LATAM qualifier for the 2022’s Six Invitational and won it over Black Dragons. In the tournament that kick off the new year, MIBR made an incredible run achieving 4th place, eliminating teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas, Spacestation, Oxygen and Team Liquid.

MIBR farewelled the coach Matheus “Budega” Figueiredo in the middle of December and still hadn’t filled the position. The team used the manager Guilherme “Guille” Scalfi as coach in the Six Invitational, however is still unfined if he will stay as a coach or if MIBR will play without a coach. Even with rumours about changes in the roster, Made in Brasil decided to not change the roster for 2022 and will try to convert in titles the good runs in the big tournaments that played.

FaZe – stability is the keyword

FaZe was part of Brazil’s special year in 2021. Gabriel “cameram4n” Hespanhol and his teammates started the year with a 5th-6th place in Six Invitational, falling for the semi-finalist Team Liquid in the lower bracket.

The poor performance in Copa Elite Six made the Brazilian squad fail Mexico’s Major. Although in Stage 3 of the Copa Elite Six, FaZe was able to win the tournament and to qualify for Sweden’s Major. The peak of FaZe’s season was the tournament in Sweden with the team defeating the Six Invitational’s Champions in the grand-final.

In the Brasileirão finals, FaZe got 4th place after a good last run in the regular season of Stage 3.

The new year began with a good run in the Six Invitational being the Brazilian squad that went the furthest in the competition, ending up defeated by TSM and getting 3rd place.

FaZe decided to not make any change for the new season and stability is the keyword chosen to achieve titles again in the new year.
