1WIN has signed Abay ‘HObbit’ Khassenov from Cloud9, who will replace Rassim ‘Jyo’ Valijev on the team and join compatriots Timur ‘buster’ Tulepov, Sanzhar ‘neaLaN’ Iskhakov, and Aset ‘Solaar’ Sembiyev.
Since April 2022, ‘Hobbit’ has been a part of Cloud9’s roster. During this time, the North American organization made headlines by acquiring the renowned Gambit roster.
After Denis ‘electroNicâ ‘ Sharipov joined in 2023, the team had high expectations but didn’t perform well together. They only had a few bright spots, like reaching the quarter-finals at the Copenhagen Major.
Cloud9 made a surprising transfer by selling ‘electroNic’ to Virtus.pro with two months left in the season. Later, ‘HObbit’ and Ilya ‘Perfectoâ ‘ Zalutskiy were benched, and it took almost three months to fill their spots.
On 1WIN, ‘Hobbit’ will be reuniting with his former teammate, ‘buster’, whom he played alongside during their time at Cloud9 for six months in early 2023.
