Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard have been benched from the Counter-Strike Heroic roster.
According to the organization statement, after ESL Pro League Season 18, where Heroic’s squad failed to qualify for playoffs, this duo refused to sign a contract extension with Heroic unless in-game leader Casper “cadiaN” Møller was removed. And this was done at the beginning of October â cadiaN was benched.
However, despite their demands being met, stavn and jabbi refused to sign their contracts and informed Heroic that they were thinking about joining Astralis following the expiration of their current contracts in 10 months.
“While handling the short-term uncertainty and planning for a long-term solution, Heroic’ ambition is to bring stavn and jabbi back. Our performance staff have made a plan to support their potential return to the starting lineup. We are open to discussing transfers to organizations with a professional approach and an understanding of our players’ market value. We aim to find a good path forward with a positive solution for everyone involved,” said Heroic.
After that stavn hinted on Х (Twitter) that the whole truth could be revealed later.
“Gotta love the world we live in. What is the saying? Truth always prevails,”
Heroic CS roster currently is as follows:
- René “TeSeS” Madsen
- Rasmus “sjuush” Beck
- Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen
- Richard “Xizt” Landström (Coach)
