RICOCHET Anti-Cheat is already used in Call of Duty and successfully fights cheaters. The new version of the game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, will also use this anti-cheat with innovations for a more effective fight against dishonest players.
The developers aim to minimize the time between using cheats and being banned. In thed first week of beta testing, cheaters played an average of 10 matches before being detected and only five in the second week. However, a quarter of all cheater blockings during the second week occurred during the first match. In total, over 12,000 cheater accounts were blocked.
The game’s official website has released a detailed article on what #TeamRICOCHET is doing and how the system will be improved.
The updated version of Ricochet will use artificial intelligence to analyze players’ behavior and performance. Perhaps the system will be able to distinguish cheaters from experienced players.
Despite the improvements, online users fear that Ricochet will periodically ban honest players with swift reaction times, considering their reflexes a sign of using third-party software.
Whether there will be random bans will be known with the release of the updated version of Ricochet and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 itself, which will be released on October 25 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Game Pass service.
