Tournament Format
Valorant Game Changer Championship Bracket/ Riot Games
The Championship will utilize a double-elimination bracket format, with matches consisting primarily of Best-of-Three games, except for the Lower Final and Grand Final, which will be played as Best-of-Five. The top seeds from the EMEA and Americas regions will receive a bye into Round 2, providing them with a strategic advantage as they aim for victory.
Teams get a second chance at a comeback in a double-elimination bracket instead of going out after a single loss. Here is how it works:
- Upper and Lower Brackets: All teams start in the upper bracket. If they lose a match, they drop to the lower bracket instead of being eliminated.
- Second Chance: Teams in the lower bracket get a second chance to stay in the tournament. If they lose again, they are out of the competition.
- Grand Final: The upper bracket winner faces the lower bracket winner in the grand final. If the Lower Bracket winner defeats the Upper Bracket winner, they’ll play an extra series (since the Upper Bracket winner hasn’t lost twice yet).
