Aurora has revealed that they have chosen to elevate Gleb ‘gr1ks’ Gazin from their academy team, Aurora Young Blud. The 19-year-old will assume the AWP responsibilities from Denis ‘deko’ Zhukov, who left the roster last month to take a break from competitive play.
‘gr1ks’ emerged as one of the most talented AWPers in Eastern Europe during his seven months with Aurora Young Blud. He maintained an average rating of 1.17 while playing for the academy team, which recently triumphed in ESEA Main Season 51 and secured a third-place finish in the European Pro League Season 21.
The promotion of ‘gr1ks’ has resulted in just one available position in the starting lineup, as the Serbian organization is still searching for a successor to Viktor ‘Lack1’ Boldyrev, who was put on the bench following a disappointing performance at the Europe RMR.
