Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski has officially become a permanent member of FaZe after finalizing his transfer from Complexity. The North American star will take the place previously held by Robin ‘ropz’ Kool, who is nearing a deal to join Vitality as a free agent.
The 27-year-old joins FaZe following an 18-month stint with Complexity. During his time there, he secured just one title at ESL Challenger Jönköping, as the team faced challenges in consistently making deep runs at major tournaments.
Despite the difficulties faced by Complexity, ‘EliGE’ continued to perform at an elite level, achieving a 1.17 rating on LAN in 2024. As Complexity’s season concluded in the Opening Stage of the Shanghai Major, ‘EliGE’ expressed his determination to embrace a new challenge by stating he was willing to do “whatever it takes” to ensure he could compete for titles in 2025.
EliGE’s acquisition is a significant advantage for FaZe, who faced difficulties with consistency throughout much of the season. Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen’s team made it to the finals of four LAN tournaments, including both Majors, but managed to secure only one championship at IEM Chengdu.
The revamped FaZe lineup is set to make its first appearance in BLAST Bounty Season 1 on January 14.
