Into the Breach has announced that Kamil ‘reiko’ Cegiełko will take the place of Flatron ‘juanflatroo’ Halimi. The Polish player had already participated in multiple official matches for Into the Breach in the final days of 2024.
‘reiko’ began his professional journey with Polish teams HONORIS and Anonymo, but faced challenges in securing a stable position in 2024. Most recently, he played for Revenant, maintaining an average rating of 1.15 while participating in a combination of tier-two and tier-three online events in Europe.
Into the Breach has revealed that ‘juanflatroo’ has left the team “for a new opportunity,” concluding his seven-month tenure with the organization. The details of juanflatroo’s new opportunity have not been disclosed.
‘juanflatroo’ became part of Into the Breach in June during a roster overhaul that started with the acquisition of Owen ‘smooya’ Butterfield. Dionis ‘sinnopsyy’ Budeci, a former teammate of ‘juanflatroo’ from Guild Eagles, along with Nicolas ‘Keoz’ Dgus, who previously played for GamerLegion, were also included in the rebuild.
Into the Breach encountered difficulties in achieving positive results with their new lineup, resulting in Mohammad ‘BOROS’ Malhas being swiftly benched. Hristiyan ‘REDSTAR’ Pironkov stepped in to take the place of the Jordanian rifler, but the team’s performance did not significantly improve, as they consistently exited CCT-level tournaments early and struggled to enter the top 50 of HLTV’s global rankings.
In November, it was revealed that ‘juanflatroo’ would be stepping back from competition due to “a couple of exhausting months/year,” which meant that Into the Breach participated in their final events of 2024 without the 27-year-old. ‘reiko’ has been competing for Into the Breach in their recent matches.
