All Changes in Apex Legends Season 24
The topic of changes was touched upon in the Dev Update video:
Arsenals
Apex Legends has announced Takeover, Season 24 of Respawn’s Battle Royale, introducing a new way to capture weapons called Arsenals. If you’ve ever played Warzone, you can compare it to that gear system.
In Apex, however, Arsenals will always be available on the map. They allow the player to equip exactly the weapons and modules they will need at any time.
In a very primitive way, Arsenals are small stashes with weapons where the player can change weapons in his inventory, and we look at it positively. There should now be less fuss about grabbing anything before you get shot.
Here are the main points that are important for understanding Arsenals:
- Arsenals are visible from the dropship when dropping in and are marked on the map and hud.
- The location of the armories is fixed, but the weapons stored in them will be randomized.
- You can also get upgrades at the station with attachments and an optic.
Weapons Changes
Since we’ve started talking about Arsenals, let’s talk about the weapons change immediately. Drum roll…The damage of all weapons has been increased! Yes, for all guns in general.
However, even though all weapons are enhanced, not all buffs will be the same. Some weapons will get more attention than others. We will tell you about it already when the update comes out.
Another change is that headshot multipliers have been adjusted to ensure consistent accuracy. And, of course, Mythic guns will be added—read as improved versions of weapons. For example, the Mythic R-301 inspired by Wraith will appear, and lasers will be added to the CAR submachine gun.
Helmets and Armor Changes
White, blue, and purple helmets will be removed entirely during Capture, so headshot damage will be the same for each weapon and no longer vary depending on the level of the enemy’s helmet.
However, some of the helmets were still left for us. A new Mythic Helmet will be introduced. It changes the player’s armor to red but does not reduce the damage from hits to the head. The red helmet will appear in late-game care packages and mythic bins.
Immediately after the player puts on the helmet, it will color the armor red. Armor evolution for every player for white, blue, and purple armor pieces will be capped at level three. The developers did not forget to smooth this moment and to keep you alive longer by accelerating the use of Shield Cells, Med Kits, and Syringes.

Legend Changes
Support Class Legends have removed their heal expert perk for the upcoming season to focus them more on reviving.
Assault Class Legends
The developers have come up with something new for Assault Class Legends. They got the Stowed Reload perk. This skill automatically reloads any stowed weapon after two seconds.
The second perk is called Combat Reserve. Assault Class Legends in Season 24 will have two additional ammo slots – specifically for grenades.
Combat Surge is the third perk. It can be obtained after Assault Legend punches through an enemy shield. Once activated, the Legend gains grants a temporary speed boost, faster reloads, and highlights the cracked target for their team.
Ash Buffs in Season 24
Ash has an enhanced Ultimate—you can move through it faster with better end-point detection. The tether will snare from its location rather than at the enemy target’s location.
The Passive skill has now changed and is called Predator’s Pursuit. The Passive allows Legend to quickly change position in melee or promptly shorten the distance on a tethered target.
Ballistic Buffs in Season 24
Ballistic’s sling upgrade and dual tactical charge have now been integrated with his base kit, plus it can now carry crate weapons with unlimited ammunition when active.
Also, instead of using extra charges, Ballistic now uses double charges. In addition, his Tempest now has a bonus to team movement speed.
Changes in Matchmaking
A new way to enter the Apex Legends ranked mode will be introduced. It was called Road to Ranking. The main points in this change were:
- The account level requirements for ranked games have been removed.
- Instead, players must prove they are experienced enough and good enough as a team. If they have not already, players must complete all these tasks to unlock a rank.
- Players who already had rank access will retain it.
Your starting skill will be affected by your performance in unranked modes in Apex, and there will be more transparency on the lobby displays and improved match summary screens.
Weapon mastery trials have changed, and the system has been simplified, with some more difficult and complex trials removed.
Anti-cheat
Developers created a new machine learning model that detects the next generation of bots and is designed to be more promising for dealing with future variants and evolutions. This new model is incredibly accurate, with a low false negative rate.
The developers also struggle with teaming when several teams collude during a match for a common goal. These efforts have resulted in measures against ~1,200 accounts across all platforms, including the removal of ~17.4 million rating points, and as a result, the number of such phenomena has decreased significantly.
Matchmaking Update
In 2025, in the 24th season of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment developers plan to make several changes to the player selection system to make the battles more honest. Some of them are:
- Displaying skills in unrated BR Trio matches.
- Correction of starting rank values based on past successes in other modes.
- Lower rating drops at the beginning of the season.
- Adjusting the match search time.
- The return of the ranking qualification matches.
- The introduction of “Apex Bots” in low-level matches (they will not play in the same team with real players).
- Testing of priority matchmaking (separation of solo players and premades).
In addition, the developers are working on an alert system so players can see what measures have been taken against the violators they have complained about. You can read about these measures on Twitter, Apex Legends, and the website.
