Match Overview
The second quarter-final of ESL Pro League 21 will be MOUZ against G2. G2 had been looking shaky for some time after ‘NiKo’ left the team, and MOUZ, even though they changed their in-game leader, it didn’t stop them from winning PGL Cluj-Napoca. These two teams met at IEM Cologne 2024 before both changed one player, and MOUZ won with a score of 2-0. This time, there will be one different player for each team, and we will have to see how it works out.

Current Team and Players Form
MOUZ
So far, ‘Brollan’, who decided to become an in-game leader just recently for his team, is doing well, and winning their first tournament right after the roster change was surely a good motivation for the team. ‘torszi’ is their sniper and he is consistently good for a long time already. ‘Spinx’ and ‘xertioN’ both need to get more consistent, and then they might become a real contender for a title here. ‘Jimpphat’ is supposed to be their star, but he doesn’t seem to be consistent at this point. Overall, they’re in good shape, but the consistency of some individuals might become a real problem against top teams.
G2
At some point back in the times, it was ‘NiKo’ and ‘m0NESY’ carrying G2 even on a bad day, but today it seems like it’s too much on ‘m0NESY’ shoulders and even though they have good results overall it doesn’t look good going against the best teams. ‘malbsMd’ is not a star level player like ‘NiKo’ and ‘HeavyGod’ is doing good but he is also not even close to that level and still lacks experience on top level. ‘Snax’ being on the bottom of the scoreboards most of the time might not be a problem for them as his main focus is being the in-game leader, but it’s also ‘huNter-’ who is inconsistent and sometimes can’t find his game. They will need to bring their A Game to make it further in the playoff stage.
Brollan was happy making it to the playoffs once again
Match Prediction
There is no clear favorite in this match, and it might be ‘m0NESY’ shining and destroying his opponents, but overall, MOUZ seems to be a little bit better as a team at this point. We would say it’s 60-40 for MOUZ here. We expect MOUZ to win this match.
Can MOUZ repeat the success of the previous time they met G2, or will G2 take it home this time? We will have to see this Thursday at 18:30 CET!
