It has been a while since Virtus.Pro has been a part of the professional Dora 2 scene. Once one of the best in the world, the org has not been around for ages. Fortunately, Virtus.Pro decided to get back in action after getting Chimera Esports’s players.
Virtus.Pro Signs Chimera Esports’s Players
As the title says, Virtus.Pro decided to sign in the former roster of Chimera Esports. It’s safe to say that fans have high hopes for what is to come because these players have proven they can work together. In fact, the roster recently got 4th place at DreamLeague Season 25, which was an impressive result for such an underdog.
Speaking of the result, here is what the new VP will look like:
- Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev
- Artem “Lorenof” Melnick
- Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin
- Ivan “OneJey” Zhivitsky
- Vladislav “Rein” Kosaygin
Pretty much all of VP’s players have already made a name for themselves. TA2000, for example, is one of the hottest carries in EEU right now, and Lorenof is one of the most interesting midders in Dota 2. Despite being just 22 years old, he already has extensive experience, so we can’t wait to see him in action.
Daxak is among the most experienced member of VP’s new roster. He has been a part of many teams over the years and always did well.
Even though Virtus.Pro has always been an Eastern European powerhouse, the new organization will not compete in this region. Instead, the team will play in MESWA, at least for the DreamLeague Season 26 qualifiers. This means that we will have the chance to see them against the likes of Winter Bear and Nigma Galaxy.
Keep in mind that the DL S26 qualifiers will begin on April 1. They will be the first “event” played entirely on the Dota 2 patch 7.38c.
Virtus.Pro’s History
Old-school fans probably remember the days when VP was one of the best Dota 2 teams in the world. The team was on another level between 2017 and 2021 and it woun countless events. However, the failure to lift the Aegis at The International, the all-star EEU roster decided to stop competing under this banner.
