Overview
PGL Bucharest 2025 is a top-tier event scheduled from April 6 to April 13. There will be sixteen teams featured who will have to fight for the prize pool of $625,000, where first place will get the most, which is $200,000. This time, there will be no such teams like Vitality, MOUZ, Spirit, or Natus Vincere, and it means there’s a better chance for other teams to get themselves a trophy and a share of the prize pool.

Favorites and Underdogs
It is Apogee’s first big tournament, and they are the biggest underdogs here since other teams have some experience playing tournaments like this. Other than them would be teams like paiN, Legacy, Rare Atom, FURIA, and Complexity, as these teams didn’t make it far in any recent tournament they’ve played.
Teams like Astralis, Virtus.Pro, 3DMAX, GamerLegion, Liquid, and Falcons can win anyone on a good day, but they will have to show good preparation and consistency to beat the other teams.
Since no best teams in the world attended this event, whoever was closer to winning previous tournaments between the participants should be a favorite. The first that comes to mind would be TheMongolZ and Eternal Fire, as those two teams made it pretty far in most events they played lately, and it was usually one of the best teams in the world who would stop them, but this time, they’re not here to do so.
Also, G2 and FaZe were among the best European teams last year, but they have yet to prove they’re back and still belong to the top level. A tournament with teams like this is a good chance for both of them.
