Justin ‘jks’ Savage has been removed from Liquid’s starting lineup, as the organization revealed on Friday. The Australian makes way for Kamil ‘siuhy’ Szkaradek, who joins them on a trial basis.
‘jks’ departs from the starting lineup after joining the team in July 2024 as part of a significant restructuring, which also included the addition of Roland ‘ultimate’ Tomkowiak and Torbjørn ‘mithR’ Nyborg, while Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken assumed the role of the team’s new in-game leader.
Liquid Announcements
In the updated configuration, Liquid reached the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 20 and the Perfect World Shanghai Major, but ultimately did not achieve their aim of becoming a title contender, even after acquiring a significant player in Guy ‘NertZ’ Iluz at the beginning of the year.
‘jks’ maintained an average rating of 0.99 during that period, which is slightly below the expected rating of 1.01 for a player in his supportive roles.
After nine months, the organization is facing another significant change, ending its association with the Danish coach and reverting Twistzz’s role back with the inclusion of ‘siuhy’.
