It’s a sad day for the League of Legends community because Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak has passed away. The 36-year-old had an ongoing battle with cancer, and sadly, he is no longer with us.
Shushei Passed Away
League of Legends players and fans worldwide are devastated by the news about Shushei’s passing. The Polish player was part of Fnatic and was once one of the best players in the world. In fact, he received the MVP award after winning the inaugural World Championship back in 2011.
The Polish star was active in 2013, which was when he decided to retire from the professional team. After his success with Fnatic, the player decided to get the Gragas skin, and this item is still available today, despite being more than 14 years old.
Alongside the World Championship trophy, Shushei has several other victories. For example, he won the IEM Hannover and the IEM New York.
It goes without saying, but Fnatic and the entire LoL community were sad to hear the news. Fnatic even said that “we lost a legend in Shushei. He was a part of the incredible Fnatic team that won the first-ever League of Legends Worlds Championship.
Alongside his previous team, many notable personalities from LoL also paid their respect. Shushei is often regarded as one of the first big Esports players in Poland. He was a pioneer in LoL in terms of tactics and will forever go down in history as one of the best.
We at Blix.gg want to extend our condolences to the player’s family.
