The League of Legends Patch 25.16 finally arrived. After highlighting some of the leaked changes, Riot finally announced the latest patch and everything new. So, let’s dive in and learn more about it.

LoL Patch 25.16 Overview & Battle Pass Changes
This patch aims to “shake up the metagame, injecting new junglers into the pool.” It also nerfs several top heroes and buffs some of the weakest supports. The most recent update also fixes long-standing bugs.
Riot decided to introduce some Battle Pass changes that will start from Season 3. Alongside the visual updates, the total number of milestones is now 48 instead of 50. Although the total BXP required per milestone is the same, the fact that there are 2 levels fewer means players shouldn’t take that long to complete it.
Interestingly, the Summoner’s Rift Ranked Season 2 will end on August 26. This will also be the last day of patch 25.16, meaning we will see a new season and a new patch. Season 3 will not reset your rank or LP tier progression. However, it will reset the ranked reward mission.
Champion Changes
As expected, the League of Legends Patch 25.16 also gave us access to several champion changes.
- Brand – His Passive ability, called Blaze, now deals 260% damage to monsters per tick instead of 240. His Q has a 1.75 stun instead of 1.5, and his R has 10 seconds less CD across all levels.
- Illaoi – her passive now deals a total of 110% AD ratio instead of 105%. Also, Spawn Cooldown is now 18-7 seconds instead of 20-7.25 seconds.
- Morgana – Her W now deals more minimum and maximum damage.
- Nocturne – His armor growth is down from 4.7 to 4.2, and his Q (Duskbringer) provides less Bonus AD than before.

Other Changes
Alongside all of the champion changes, the LoL Patch 25.16 also has several other things. For example, we have Augments and Anvils changes, as well as different items’ buffs and nerfs.
Riot Games also added Arena Bugfixes, such as the one where Knight’s Vow no longer loses the link on some rounds.
Lastly, there are also numerous quality-of-life changes and bug fixes. The list is long, but here are a few aspects that stand out:
- Vladimir’s passive will now also restore HP gained from his passive if he is in the fountain
- The big issue where Sion’s R can be stopped, but Sett’s R has been resolved
