T1 has joined the other LCK teams and successfully qualified for the League of Legends World Championship 2025. The South Koreans had a big challenge ahead of them in the face of Dplus Kia, but they have succeeded.
T1 Qualified for Worlds 2025
T1 was in an interesting position before the match against Dplus KIA because the team had to win in order to qualify for the Worlds 2025. Needless to say, Dplus KIA was not going to go down without a fight, so we were in for an epic match.
The series started badly for T1 because their opponents won the match. Sadly, things changed in Game 2 and the rest of the series because T1 suddenly stepped up their game.
Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun secured a pentakill in Game 2 and gave his team a confident victory. After the comeback in the series, T1 gained momentum and ripped through their opponents in games 2 and 3. In the end, the team secured a slot for Worlds 2025 and has a chance to become the first and only team to win three consecutive titles.
T1’s Chances at the League of Legends Worlds 2025
As mentioned, T1 becomes the last squad from the LCK to secure a slot for League’s most popular tournament. The team will join the likes of Gen. G Esports, KT Rolster and Hanhwa Life Esports and will do everything in its power to win.
An interesting fact is that Worlds 2025 will mark Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok’s 10th appearance at this event. If he and his team succeed, Faker will get his 6th title.
The next challenge for T1 is Gen. G because both teams will try to secure a slot in the Higher Seed. The loser in this match will have to take part in the play-in stage, so we expect to see an epic clash. Don’t forget to follow us for more information about LoL’s hottest event of the year.
