CTBC Flying Oyster won the League of Legends Pacific tournament (the first one ever) after the region rebranded. We saw an incredible Grand Final between them and Team Secret Whales, and in the end, CTBC won the match. Here’s what happened.
CTBC Flying Oyster vs Team Secret Whales – Recap
An interesting fact is that these two LoL powerhouses met twice in the LCP 2025. The first clash took place after both squads won their matches in Round 1. It was an intense series, but in the end, CFO won and sent their opponents to the lower bracket. Team Secret Whales did everything possible and defeated GAM Esports, PSG Talon, and Viking Esports before securing a match against their executors.
We expected to see a close LCP 2025 Grand Final and at least 4 games in the series, but this was not the case. Instead, CTBC Flying Oyster secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against their opponens and secured the title as the best team in the region.
What’s even more important is that this victory guarantees that the team will play at Worlds 2025, which starts in a couple of weeks.
In terms of the MVP, HongQ received the trophy following his impressive and consistent results.
Worlds 2025
Alongside CTBC Flying Oyster, Worlds 2025 will also feature Secret Whales and PSG Talon because these are the teams that finished second and third, respectively. At the time of writing, we knew almost all participants, aside from two. We will have to wait and see which team will attend the event from the LPL Regional Finals and LEC Summer.
Most recently, T1 joined the lineup, but it will have to participate in the Play-In as one of the two Play-In teams. The other one is yet to be decided and it will be from the Regional Finals.
League of Legends Worlds 2025 starts on October 14, so we have less than a month until then. Don’t forget to follow us for more information.
