It is safe to say that Valve surprised us yet again. Everyone was eager to see the next Dota 2 patch, but instead of it, we got a new collab. Dota x Monster Hunter will be a massive crossover and we’re about to learn everything new.
Dota x Monster Hunter – Here’s What You’ll Find
The collaboration between these two games means that players will have access to a lot of new content. There will be new sets, an in-game hunt and crafting system, new pets, and a lot of monsters.
Based on the information from the changelog, there will be six different Monster Hunter-themed items to choose from. Each one will have three craftable alternative versions.
Alongside that, players can also get a new Palico courier with the craftable consumables and can also obtain Poogie. The latter will be a new pet and it will stay in your base.
An interesting fact is that the core version of each set for a specific hero will be free. However, you will have to craft it when you get enough materials from hero hunts. There will also be a Hero Atlas that will help you track your progress, gather dispatches and explore hero lore.
Expedition Pack
People who want more than what they get for free can obtain the Expedition Pack. It will unlock more usable monsters (Rathalos for DK and Bullfango for Beastmaster), a special music pack from Monster Hunters, a seasonal spray collection and different crafting materials. Moreover, you will be able to get an exclusive version of Poogie and Palico, as well as different set variations and Immortal item effects.
It seems like this Dota 2 event will be available for the next three months, which means you should have enough time to get everything. As mentioned earlier, it’s something that no one expected, so it will be fun to see what’s going on.
