BLAST Slam V is slowly coming to an end, and we had the opportunity to watch the final Play-In matches yesterday. Some results definitely surprised us, especially when it comes to the Chinese teams, so let’s see what happened.
OG, Na’Vi, MOUZ and Team Yandex Made it Through
The first Play-In match that we had the chance to watch was between OG and HEROIC. It was one of those games where fans were eager to see what was going to happen, especially after OG changed its roster once again. We’ll admit, we expected HEROIC to perform better, but it was not the case, and OG defeated their opponents.
Natus Vincere is the next team that made it to the playoffs and it delivered another big surprise. The CIS squad was able to overcome Team Tidebound, one of the three Chinese Dota 2 teams that reached the Play-In stage. Not only did the team win, but it also did it fairly easily because both games were one-sided.
MOUZ also made it through following an epic battle versus Yakult Brothers. This victory comes just a few days after the team won the PGL Wallachia Season 6, its first big tournament.
Lastly, we have the biggest surprise of all – Team Yandex. Even though this squad was one of the big underdogs, TY defeated Xtreme Gaming and advanced to the Playoffs.
