The League of Legends Patch 25.24 is here and it will be Riot’s last patch for 2025. As always, there are several things we need to address, so let’s dive into all of them.

Season 3 Ranked is Ending
One of the things that the LoL Patch 25.24 addressed is that ranked Season 3 will end soon. Based on the information, players will have until January 7, 25:59:59, and users won’t be able to play ranked games for 12 hours so they can prepare for S1 of 2026.
The fact that the season is coming to an end also means that players will get their skin, emotes and icon. It’s definitely something that we are looking forward to, but we will have to wait for around a month until then.
WASD is Here
We at Blix.gg were among the first to cover the potential addition of WASD to League of Legends a few months ago. Well, it seems like the new mechanic is finally here, at least in the unranked queue across all regions. Players in OCE will have access to it first and it will then move to other regions.
Players can access the WASD option in Arena, ARAM: Mayhem and ARURF game modes. The feature itself offers Dynamic Camera, Scout Ahead Button and WASD remapping.
Champion Selection Changes
We already mentioned some of the game changes that the LoL Patch 25.24 would give. One of them is related to the champion select and the fact that players won’t be able to ban champions chosen by their teammates.

Every single League of Legends update affects some champions one way or another, including this one. There’s no point in going though them here because most of them are small buffs and nerfs. We recommend checking the changelog to see everything new, but the important thing to remember is that the meta feels more or less the same.
Other Changes
Aside from all of the things mentioned so far, Riot Games also added several bug fixes in 25.24. We also saw all of the upcoming skins that will be released in this patch. They are the following:

Closing Thoughts
As expected, the last LoL Patch from Riot Games for 2025 brought some small buffs and nerfs to some of the hot champions. Other than that, the WASD changes are likely to be the topic of conversation for the next couple of weeks.
