PGL Belgrade 2026 was one of the interesting CS2 tournaments for next year, but the competition was moved from Serbia to Romania. PGL announced it will change the event’s location in the same way it did in 2025.
PGL Masters Bucharest 2026
Originally, the tournament was supposed to take place between October 24 – 31, 2026 in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade. We should have seen a total of 12 teams from the Global VRS, as well as four teams from the qualifiers in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Following the location change, PGL also decided to make some format adjustments. There will be a total of two open qualifiers in NA and SA, as well as in Europe. The best two teams from them will move to the Closed Qualifiers, where the winners will be invited to join the competition. CS 2 fans will also see the last spot from the Asian qualifiers, which will have several subdivisions.
Even though there is a lot of time left, we already know the dates. The open qualifiers will be online and will take place between September 3- 6. As for the closed qualifiers, they will be held between September 9-13.
Once the main event arrives, fans will see a Swiss best-of-three group stage, as well as a single-elimination BO3 playoff and a BO5 Grand Final. In terms of the prize pool, we’ll see a massive $1,250,000 reward.
Considering the prize pool and the teams we’ll see in action, it is safe to say this will be one of the bigger CS2 events in 2026. The bad news for fans in Belgrade is that they will need to move to Bucharest to see the action in real time.
We at Blix.gg will make sure to provide you with all details needed for the event, so make sure to follow us for the latest information.
