Nine to take a break from competitive Dota 2, leaving Tundra Esports with 4 players. While Stormstormer is looking for a new team.
The Post-TI12 Dota 2 roster changes are in full swing because there is something new every single day. After we learned Talon Esports is dropping its entire Dota 2 roster, it also became clear there will be changes with Tundra Esports.
One of Dota 2âs most successful teams and the winners of The International 11 will be looking for a new player because Leon “Nine” Kirilinis no longer a part of the organization.
Nine Takes a Competitive Break
According to a tweet, Leon “Nine” Kirilin will not be a part of Tundra Esports anymore because he wants to take an extended competitive break. âI am forever grateful for the last 3 years with Tundra… I have fulfilled my dreams with friends I hold dear and experienced things I will never forgetâ, said Nine. After that, he also said the last 2 years were really stressful, and he wants to take a step back and relax. He said heâll still be playing Dota 2 and following everything, but he needs some time off from all the traveling and stress of playing.
Nine was a key part of Tundra Esports in the last 3 years. He established himself as one of the best mid-laners in Dota 2 and a player who can adapt to any situation. Although all of Tundraâs members were on another level at TI11, Nine stood out by picking heroes no one else wanted to play.
His decision to leave the competitive scene will definitely affect Tundra Esportsâs performance. The organization must find a replacement soon, because the first big Dota 2 tournament after TI12 begins a few weeks from now. There are tons of free players right now, so itâll be very interesting to see what will happen.
Stormstormer is LFT
Aside from Nine, another player from Western Europe who is looking for something new is Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau. The 25-year-old German player was a part of Entity, where he spent more than 2 years. During that time, he and his team took part in numerous tournaments, but the squad was never able to win anything big.
âOne chapter ends, another one will openâ. According to Stormstormer, heâs looking for a new team where he wants to play as position 2. This came just hours after Entity announced Stormstormer would be moved to the inactive roster. In other words, the team from Western Europe is also looking for a new midlaner.

The next couple of days will be crucial for many Dota 2 teams and players. A lot of the big names in Western Europe are looking for new players, but there are also organizations who need a completely new roster.
