Time goes by, and players are sold at high prices, but Sharks are cooking again. The Portuguese organization built an invincible roster against Brazilian teams for four months. A notorious record for a team who are always a target for the major Brazilian teams to reinforce their lineups during the transfer window. Their record was broken with two losses on the same day: one to Paquetá in the CCT South America Series 9 final and then to 00Nation in the TG Master Fall final.
Huge record
Sharksâ history of selling players is not a new story. One of the first cases was Ignacio âMeyernâ Meyer, who was sold to MIBR at the end of 2019. Raphael âexitâ Lacerda also left the team to join MIBR for an unknown amount. The same goes for Leonardo âleo_drkâ to O PLANO in 2021.
The peak for the Portuguese organization was during mid-2022 with the Lucas âLucaozyâ Neves and Romeu âzevyâ Rocco sales, with both figures being public. According to Dust2 Brazil, zevy was transferred to paiN for â¬325 EUR thousand and Lucaozy to Fluxo for the same amount.
New days
Following several changes in the roster, this new Sharks roster is letting the team dream with international stages. Rodrigo âdrgâ Ausenka is the pillar of the team. The captain and in-game leader is the most experienced player and the one with the most time wearing Sharks jersey. Drg came from B4 in May of 2022, but it was during his time in Redemption POA and Havan Liberty that his results really shined.
He’s only 21, but Victor âtogsâ Rapassi has a huge history behind him. In the roster for the last three months, the high-rated player, togs, has a history of being called a âcheaterâ which led ESL and Gamers Club to investigate him in 2020, although the investigations failed to prove any wrongdoing. Since then, following some short stints with Imperial and RED Canids, togs joined the team in September of last year. The rifler has a lot of potential, and heâs shown it on the server already.
Victor âGafoloâ Andrade is the AWPer for the team and his rating speaks for itself, but the player offers more than that. Gafolo is also comfortable with a rifle and has a 1.12 opening kill ratio over the last three months. The sniper joined Sharks at the beginning of 2023, and previously played for SWS, Isurus and Paquetá.
The second high-rated player in the team is the prospect Daniel ârdnzaoâ Monteiro. The rifler joined the team alongside Gafolo, coming from Liberty. He was one of the new discoveries from the Sharks scouting team. More recently, Danilo âdocâ Barros joined the team at the end of June and promises to be another diamond for the Sharks to mold.
In June, Sharks won CBCS Season 1 and approximately $10,000. Even with good teams attending the event like RED Canids, ODDIK, BESTIA, O Plano and Case, Sharks were still able to claim the trophy. Sharks have been playing in domestic tournaments in Brazil, such as CCT South America, as well as competing for spots in international tournaments.
