Four of five Dota 2 players of Chinese team Royal Never Give Up have tested positive for COVID-19.
First RNG reported that player Lu “Somnus” Yao tested positive for COVID-19, a few hours later the infection was confirmed in Daniel “Ghost” Chan Kok Hong, Yang “Chalice” Shenyi, Hu “kaka” Liangzhi, Lu “stms” Hao (General Manager) and Liu “Junyu” Junyu (Leader).
Yap “xNova” Jian Wei was the only healthy player in the squad.
Somnus’ disease has already caused RNG one loss at The International. Royal Never Give Up received a forfeit defeat against PSG.LGD as they withdrew from the competition due to medical reasons.
According to the RNG statement, the team will continue to participate in The International 2022, players with positive tests will play in isolated rooms.
