Tobi’s trial with Nigma Galaxy has come to an end, as the organization announced that he will be leaving the team. Let’s learn more about the situation.

Tobias “Tobi” Buchner was part of Nigma Galaxy for a few months and contributed to the team in a couple of matches. However, since DreamLeague Season 27 is approaching, NGX decided that he is not the right fit for them, so the organization and the player parted ways. This happened just two months after he became a part of the team.

To be fair, Tobi had a very complicated task because he had to step in for Maroun “GH” Merhej. The legendary position 5 player decided to take a break after TI 2025.

People were sceptical of Tobi’s potential impact on the team, and it seems like they were right. He could not really do much to help Nigma achieve good results as the team finished among the last places at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and PGL Wallachia Season 6. These results were shocking, considering the organization did pretty well at The International 2025 just two months ago.

Since Nigma is looking for ways to get back into its winning streak, the organization announced Tobi’s departure.

Tobi’s Recent Dota 2 Journey With MOUZ, Liquid, and Tundra

Aside from playing for Nigma Galaxy, Tobi’s career has been shaky recently. The Austrian player was a part of several teams in the last two years but has not managed to find a permanent home. He played for MOUZ and also served as a substitute for Team Liquid and Tundra Esports. In fact, he helped the latter secure a top 8 placement.

What’s Next for Nigma Galaxy’s Dota 2 Roster?

Now that Nigma Galaxy has lost a player, the organization will be looking to find a replacement. A lot of people hope that GH will make a return, which is possible because he already did something similar.

Aside from him, people in the Dota 2 community think that Nigma may decide to add Oleh “Kaori” Medvedok to the roster. He has experience with most of Nigma’s current players when he was a part of PSG Quest.

We will have to wait and see if Nigma decides to give Kaori a chance or if the team will wait for GH. One thing is certain – it had to make changes in order to stay competitive in the current Dota 2 season. Make sure to follow us for more details.
