The best team of 2025 has started the new year in dominant fashion. Vitality have reached the semi-finals of the season’s first tournament, BLAST Bounty 2026, where they will face Falcons in one of the most exciting rivalries in recent Counter-Strike 2 history. This time, a spot in the Grand Final is on the line.
The last time these two teams met was at BLAST Rivals Season 2 last year, where Falcons secured a convincing 2-0 victory. Vitality will be eager to take revenge, especially since they personally chose Falcons as their semi-final opponent.

Team Form & Key Players Ahead of the Semi-Final
Vitality – The Reigning Kings Showing No Signs of Slowing Down

After ending last year as the best team in the world with a double-digit trophy count, Vitality has carried that momentum into 2026. They remain undefeated in maps so far and have been dismantling opponents exactly as expected.
ZywOo is currently the third-highest rated player of the tournament with a 1.31 rating, sitting just behind molodoy (FURIA) and m0NESY (Falcons). Meanwhile, ropz showed excellent form in the quarter-final against GamerLegion, finishing just behind ZywOo with 29 kills across the series.
The rest of the lineup also looks sharp, coordinated, and confident. Vitality appear more than ready to start the year by lifting another trophy.
Falcons – Battling Adversity with Star Power and Resilience

Falcons faced serious setbacks heading into the playoffs. Star player kyousuke was ruled out due to visa issues, and head coach zonic had to step away for family reasons. Despite these challenges, the Falcons advanced to the quarter-finals with a dominant 2-0 win over Liquid, even while using a stand-in from their academy roster and playing without a coach.
m0NESY has been the standout player of the tournament so far, posting an incredible 1.61 rating and completely carrying Falcons against Liquid. NiKo followed closely behind, proving once again that he can deliver under pressure.
While Falcons are clearly in competitive form, the absence of a key player and their coach could make it difficult to maintain consistency against a team as structured and powerful as Vitality.

Vitality vs Falcons – Semi-Final Prediction
Even if Falcons were playing with their full lineup, Vitality would still enter this match as heavy favorites. They remain the strongest team in the world and, despite losing their last head-to-head encounter against Falcons, have consistently shown superior long-term performance and depth.
Prediction: Vitality to win this match.
Can Falcons and star power of m0NESY make a miracle and take down the best team in the world while playing with a standin, or will it be VItality to keep going towards getting the first trophy of the year? We will have to see it this Saturday at 16:00 CET!
