FaZe Clan hit a new low in 2026 when they were knocked out of the BLAST Open in Rotterdam by TYLOO during a tense lower-bracket match.

The 2-1 defeat not only ends their tournament run but also deals a major blow to their chances of qualifying for the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 Major, a scenario that is now becoming increasingly realistic.

    Upset With Major Consequences

FaZe entered the series under pressure. After several poor results, they had almost no room for mistakes, and Rotterdam was their chance to turn things around.

But TYLOO took advantage of the same problems that have troubled FaZe all year: losing control, making poor decisions late in rounds, and struggling to stay consistent across different maps.

Even though FaZe had some good moments, they couldn’t deliver when it counted most.

Mirage – FaZe Never Find Control

FaZe vs. TYLOO – Players’ Statistics on Mirage – BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026

The opening map immediately put FaZe on the back foot.

TYLOO set the pace right away, breaking up FaZe’s plans and putting them in tough spots. FaZe kept the score close, but never really took control.

Every time FaZe tried to gain momentum, TYLOO stopped them. TYLOO won 13-11 and took the lead in the series.

Ancient – A Glimpse of Stability

FaZe played much better and showed some of the structure they had been lacking lately.

Their defense was more organized, and players started winning the fights they had been losing before. With better teamwork and cleaner trades, FaZe kept TYLOO from getting too close on the map.

FaZe’s 13-8 win tied up the series and hinted at a possible comeback.

    Overpass – The Story Repeats

With everything at stake on Overpass, it came down to who could stay calm, and FaZe couldn’t keep it together.

The final map was close the whole way, but TYLOO made better decisions when it mattered. Their attacks were sharper, and they kept finding gaps in FaZe’s defense late in rounds.

FaZe had chances to take over, but old mistakes came back under pressure. Missed opportunities and lost close rounds decided the map, and TYLOO finished with a 13-11 win to end the series.

TYLOO Step Up on The Big Stage

    Chen “Moseyuh” Qianhao

For TYLOO, this is one of their biggest international wins in a long time.

The Chinese team is often seen as unpredictable, but they stayed calm and disciplined throughout the series. Their steady play in tough moments and ability to take advantage of FaZe’s mistakes made the difference.

This win keeps TYLOO in the tournament and also shows that teams from outside the usual top regions are becoming more competitive.

    FaZe Running Out of Time

For FaZe, the bigger worry is what this loss means for their future.

Another early exit makes an already tough season even worse and raises real questions about where the team is headed. FaZe used to be known for staying strong under pressure, but now they seem to struggle in big moments. With Major qualification almost over, the pressure is building fast. What once seemed impossible – FaZe missing the Major, now looks like it could happen.
