FaZe Clan has officially parted ways with head coach Filip ‘NEO‘ Kubski, ending a partnership that lasted nearly three years.
The organization confirmed the move on March 16, bringing an end to NEO’s tenure that began in July 2023 following the departure of former coach Robert ‘RobbaN‘ Dahlström. Kamil ‘GruBy‘ Brzeziński will step in as interim head coach while FaZe evaluates long-term options for the role.
The End of a Notable Coaching Run

NEO joined FaZe in mid-2023, during a transitional period for the organization, initially taking over coaching duties after RobbaN stepped down. Despite limited prior coaching experience, the legendary Polish player quickly became an important figure behind the team.
During his time with FaZe, the squad remained competitive at the top level of Counter-Strike, reaching multiple Major finals and winning several high-tier tournaments. His tenure marked a successful transition from his storied playing career into coaching.
However, FaZe struggled to maintain consistent results heading into 2026, which ultimately led the organization to make changes within the coaching staff.
Interim Solution: GruBy

Following NEO’s departure, FaZe will temporarily promote analyst GruBy to the role of interim head coach. The organization has not yet revealed whether this will become a permanent appointment or if an external replacement is being considered.
The move signals a possible reset for FaZe as they look to regain stability and competitive form in the current Counter-Strike 2 season.
What’s Next for FaZe?
FaZe now enters a period of evaluation as the team searches for the right leadership behind the server. With the CS2 competitive calendar intensifying, the organization will likely look to finalize its coaching situation sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, NEO’s departure closes an important chapter in FaZe’s recent history, ending a coaching stint that bridged the late CS:GO era and the early days of Counter-Strike 2.
