AMKAL’s recent announcement states that the organization has decided to part ways with 19-year-old AWPer Kaisar’ ICY’Faiznurov. This development has sparked rumors suggesting that ‘ICY’ may be joining the Cloud9 team in the near future.
The North American organization is revamping its team around Sergey’ Ax1Le’Rykhtorov and Kirill’ Boombl4’Mikhailov after the experiment of playing without a dedicated AWPer following Dmitry ‘sh1ro’ Sokolov’s departure failed.
The Kazakhstani player was under investigation by AMKALto determine if there was any unfair behavior, but it seems the investigation led to no action, and he is no longer with the team he had been playing for since December 2023.
After transferring from AVANGAR to AMKAL at the beginning of the year, ‘ICY’made his first Major appearance at the PGL Major in Copenhagen. During the team’s 0-3 run in the Opening Stage, he achieved an average rating of 1.04 and an impact of 1.21.
‘ICY’ didn’t have many opportunities to play on LAN with AMKAL, only attending the Major and its RMR. However, his 1.15 overall rating garnered enough attention for him to secure a transfer.
