StarLadder has announced a new tier-2 Counter-Strike 2 LAN event set for April. This tournament gives teams another chance to move up the European rankings through offline play.
The tournament, called LORGAR RANKINGS, will run from April 25 to 26 and include eight teams competing for a $50,000 prize pool. It aims to help teams from Eastern and Southern Europe move from regional qualifiers to bigger international events.

Ranking-Based Invitations and Open Qualification

The event will use both direct invites and a multi-stage qualification process, giving established and new teams a chance to reach the LAN finals.
Four teams will get invites based on the European VRS standings, which will be finalized on April 6. The other four spots will go to teams that qualify in March.
Regional Open Qualifiers
The first stage will take place from March 12 to 15 on FACEIT and will mainly focus on teams from Eastern and Southern Europe. Teams from the following areas can take part:
- Poland
- Czechia
- Ukraine
- The Balkans
- The Baltic region
- Additional nearby territories
From this stage, 16 teams will advance to the closed qualifier.
Closed Qualifier Stage
The closed qualifier will run from March 20 to April 10 and will decide which four teams join the invited squads at the LAN finals.
A Push Toward Tier-2 Stability

This new event is part of ongoing efforts to support the CS2 tier-2 scene. Smaller LAN tournaments are now more important for teams outside the top level, giving them valuable experience, ranking points, and exposure.
StarLadder’s system, which links invites to rankings and keeps open qualifiers, follows a wider move toward merit-based tournaments. Focusing on the region also helps address concerns about a few chances for developing teams in Eastern Europe.
