Dota 2 is one of the largest Esports, so it’s no surprise that there are many events to watch. Alongside the upcoming DreamLeague Season 26, Dota 2’s fans will have access to a few other events that are worth checking out. One of them is the Asian Championship League, and we are about to learn more information about this amazing competition.

Asian Champions League 2025 – Overview

The Asian Champions League 2025 is a small event that focuses on China. Unlike some of the big events, this one will serve as the qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2025. The latter is one of the biggest events of the year and will bring together all of the big names in the game.

The Asian Champions League 2025 is brought to us by Hero Esports, DreamHack, and ESL Gaming. It will be an offline competition taking place in Shanghai. Those wishing to visit and watch the action in real-time have to get tickets and go to the National Exhibition and Convention Center in China’s biggest city.

Speaking of the event itself, the Asian Championship League 2025 will take place on May 16, 2025. This one-day competition will offer an impressive $150,000 prize pool. In addition to winning $100,000, the team that finishes first will also secure a slot for the EWC 2025.

    Format and Teams

Unlike some of the big Dota 2 tournaments, the Asian Championship League 2025 will only have 4 teams. Since the event will only last one day, we will have a single elimination bracket with Bo3 matches and a Bo5 Grand Final.

In terms of the participating teams, fans will have access to all of the biggest names from the Chinese Dota 2 scene:

    • Xtreme Gaming
    • Yakult Brothers
    • Excel Esports
    • Team Tidebound

In terms of the upcoming matches, we can see that Xtreme Gaming will face Excel Esports,  whereas Yakult Brothers will play against Team Tidebound. There is no arguing that Excel Esports is the big underdog here, but all of the other teams have excellent chances of winning.

We’ll keep an eye on the competition and let you know what will happen. In the meantime, do not forget to follow us for more information. DreamLeague S26 will also be very important for the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025 because it is the last event that will offer EPT points, so make sure to follow it closely.
