The Play-In Stage at BLAST Slam VI is over, which means we know the names of everyone who will go to Malta. The latter will host the BLAST Slam VI Playoffs, which start on February 13. With that said, let’s see what happened after the first clashes following the BLAST Slam VI Group Stage.

REKONIX and MOUZ Are Out of BLAST Slam VI
REKONIX is officially out of BLAST Slam VI after the team lost its match in the Last Chance Playoff. The new Dota 2 team had to play against HEROIC after the South American team had won the epic match. It was not easy because both games were close for an hour, but in the end, HEROIC survived.
Sadly, MOUZ became the second team to leave BLAST Slam VI. After the disappointing results in the Group Stage, the team was unable to defeat GamerLegion. Most people expected the North Americans to lose the game, but the team impressed everyone with its performance. Game three was especially interesting because GL was clearly on another level compared to MOUZ.
Yandex, Team Falcons, HEROIC, and Team Liquid Advanced to the Playoffs
After the end of the Last Chance Playoffs, we had the chance to watch 4 epic matches in the Play-In stage. Starting with Team Yandex vs Team Spirit, this was the classic CIS derby that ended in Yandex’s favor. It was definitely not a result we expected, but team Yandex proved everyone wrong and will continue to impress us.
The second clash was between Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming. Although most people expected XG to perform better, the squad failed to bring down Team Falcoms. The latter remains one of the favorites and we can’t wait to see them in Malta.
After defeating REKONIX, HEROIC had another challenge in the face of the big favorite, Tundra Esports. No one saw this coming, but the South Americans were on another level and secured a clean victory. This was the first big upset for Tundra in a while and it proved they need to step up their game.
Lastly, we had Team Liquid vs GamerLegion, a clash where the favorite actually lived up to the expectations. Liquid did not have any issues and eliminated their opponents, securing tickets for Malta.

The Playoffs will take place in Malta and feature all the best-performing teams so far. Currently, the quarterfinals will look as follows:
- Team Falcons vs Team Liquid
- Team Yandex vs HEROIC
The winner from the first match will meet OG, whereas the second will face Na’Vi. We can’t wait to see the games, so follow us for more details.
