After 5 days of excellent Dota 2 matches, DreamLeague Season 28’s Group Stage 1 is finally over. We already reported what happened three days after the start, but now that we have all the results, it’s time for our in-depth overview. Let’s take a look at which teams succeeded and what we expect for Group Stage 2.
Group A
As mentioned in our previous preview analysis, Group A was heavily dominated by a few specific Dota 2 teams. Now that all of the matches are over, we have the following 4 teams advancing to Group Stage 2:
- Aurora Gaming
- PARIVISION
- Team Liquid
- BetBoom Team
Aurora Gaming has proven itself to be the big favorite so far, achieving the best results. The team ended Group Stage 1 with 5 victories and 2 draws and is yet to taste defeat. This definitely puts it in an excellent position for what is to come.
PARIVISION also surprised its fans in a good way. Even though most people did not believe the squad would do well, PARIVISION ended Group Stage 1 without dropping a single map. The team secured 4 victories and 3 draws.
Team Liquid is the next powerhouse that will advance to DreamLeague Season 28’s next stage. Despite losing one series, Liquid did well, winning 4 matches and securing 2 draws. Most people are probably not surprised that the squad is advancing to the next stage, especially after winning BLAST Slam VI just a few days ago.
Sadly, some teams were unable to live up to their fans’ expectations. Team Yandex is the biggest disappointment of all because some fans were hoping it would do much better. Sadly, the team ended without a single victory and got 3 draws and 4 losses.
BetBoom Team was the last to join the remaining three, but the squad had to do it the hard way. The EEU powerhouse met OG in the Tiebreaker, and after a deadly Bo3 series, it eliminated them.
Yakult Brothers and paiN Gaming also did not achieve anything impressive. Both ended with just one win, one draw, and 5 losses.
Group B
Moving on to Group B, this was definitely the more interesting of the two, and we saw many amazing results. Remember how Natus Vincere was among the best-performing squads a few days ago? Well, the team made many mistakes and missed out on the slot for the DreamLeague Season 28 Group 2. Instead, we will see the following names:
- MOUZ
- Tundra Esports
- Team Falcons
- Xtreme Gaming
MOUZ seems to be among the biggest surprises so far, and for a good reason. Considering the squad’s most recent results, we did not expect it to see among the best 4, let alone in first place. The team ended its Group Stage 1 clashes without losing a single series – it got 3 victories and 4 losses.
Tundra Esports is the second name that we will see on the big stage. Until its last series against Team Falcons, Tundra did not make a single mistake and looked almost unstoppable. With that said, Team Falcons proved that they can bleed, so it will be interesting to see what’s going to happen between the two.
Speaking of the Falcons, they are the third team to advance to Group Stage 2. This happened after securing 3 wins, 3 draws, and only one loss. The team was unable to overcome MOUZ.
The fourth team to advance to DreamLeague Season 28’s next stage is Xtreme Gaming. It’s safe to say this is also a surprise because people thought they would see Na’Vi or Team Spirit here. Sadly for them, the Chinese played much better than expected and secured two victories, 4 draws, and 1 loss.
GamerLegion, Execration, Team Spirit, and Natus Vincere did not make it out. Most people are not surprised by the first two names, but Team Spirit was among the favorites.
DreamLeague Season 28 Group Stage 2
Group Stage 2 at DreamLeague Season 28 will begin tomorrow, February 21, 2026 and will have the following teams:
- Aurora Gaming
- MOUZ
- BetBoom Team
- PARIVISION
- Team Falcons
- Team Liquid
- Xtreme Gaming
- Tundra Esports
The stakes here are increasing because only four teams will make it to the Playoffs. Similar to Group Stage 1, four of the names mentioned above will be eliminated, so expect a week full of action.
We will have five Bo3 series per day until February 27. Once the results are in, DreamLeague Season 28 will continue to its final form – the Playoffs. As always, we’ll make sure to provide you with regular updates.
