PGL Wallachia Season 5 started today, and we have some interesting surprises. According to the news, Clement “Puppey” Ivanov and David Nicho “Parker” Flores will stand in for Edge at the tournament. Here’s everything you need to know
Puppey and Parker to Stand-in For Edge
Edge became one of the participants who will go up against the best in the world at PGL Wallachia Season 5. The team got a last-minute invite for the tournament after MOUZ decided to withdraw from the event. As a result, the team had to make some changes and added Puppey and Parker to the squad. The two superstars from Team Secret will do their best to help Edge do well in this event.
Although most people are probably not surprised that Parker made this move, the same can’t be said about Puppey. In fact, this is one of the rare occasions where we can see him playing for a different team. Throughout his career, Puppey only played for Natus Vincere and Team Secret (he joined the latter in 2011). Moreover, he has only been a stand-in once in his life, and it was last year.
Puppey is one of Dota 2’s living legends and someone who has achieved almost everything in the game. As for Parker, the young Peruvian became a force to be reckoned with after his impressive performance with HEROIC. In case you don’t remember, he and the South American powerhouse became the first team from the region to win a big international event.
Following the success, Parker joined Team Secret and has been there ever since. Luckily for him, he will have the chance to reunite with his SA teammates because he will play alongside Vitaly, Michael~ and PiPi.
Edge at PGL Wallachia Season 5
There is no arguing that Edge will have a tough time at PGL Wallachia Season 5. This will be the last big Dota 2 event before the Esports World Cup 2025, which will take place in July. All 16 teams have good chances of winning, so we can’t wait to see what’s going to happen.
