PGL Wallachia Season 7 started on March 7, kicking off with the Group Stage. We have already seen 3 full days of matches, which means we are just 2 days away from moving on to the Playoffs. That’s why it’s time to dive in and see what has happened so far.
The Winners
Following the first three days of action at the PGL Wallachia Season 7, the following teams are in the upper part of the group:
- HEROIC
- Team Spirit
- PARVISION
- Team Yandex
- Team Liquid
- Natus Vincere
- Xtreme Gaming
- Aurora Gaming
Out of these, Liquid, PARIVISION, Team Spirit and HEROIC are the only ones who have two victories and zero losses. What’s interesting is that they are yet to face each other in the next rounds, so it’s safe to say we have several interesting matches ahead of us. All of the remaining teams have lost one match so far.
HEROIC is probably the biggest surprise so far, given that the team has not really achieved good results recently. The South American powerhouse started with a victory over Team Yandex, followed by a defeat of Aurora Gaming.
The Losers
Moving on to the bottom half of the group, we have the following Dota 2 teams:
- Team Falcons
- Vici Gaming
- Tundra Esports
- Team Nemesis
- OG
- Yellow Submarine
- MOUZ
- BetBoom Team
MOUZ is the defending champion, so it’s safe to say people expected more of it. There are still 3 rounds to go, however, so we may see them bounce back.
Team Falcons is another of the Dota 2 powerhouses that is underperforming. Despite the solid start against Team Nemesis, Falcons lost their series against Spirit and Yandex.
Of course, we also have Tundra Esports, the recent DreamLeague Season 28 winner. Everyone was expecting the squad to have little to no problems, but it lost two matches so far – against Na’Vi and Aurora Gaming. There are two more series left until the Group Stage is over, so it will be interesting to see if it can survive.
Upcoming Matches
As mentioned, we have two more days from the PGL Wallachia Season 7 Group Stage and some serious matches ahead of us. Tundra Esports is yet to face the big favorites like Team Liquid, HEROIC and Xtreme Gaming. We will also have an epic battle for survival because several teams have similar results. Don’t forget that only 8 of them will advance to the event’s next stage.
