PGL Wallachia Season 7 Group Stage Overview
Just a few days after we covered the first few days of the Group Stage, it’s time to take a look at all of the teams that made it out. We saw a total of 8 Dota 2 squads that made it out of the event and their names are as follows:
- Team Liquid
- Team Spirit
- HEROIC
- Vici Gaming
- Tundra Esports
- BetBoom Team
- Team Yandex
- Aurora Gaming
Starting with Team Liquid and Team Spirit, the two European powerhouses proved to be the best so far. Neither lost a single series and were the first to secure a slot for the PGL Wallachia Season 7 Playoffs.
HEROIC, Aurora Gaming and Team Yandex were next on the list. All three of them lost one series and they have successfully advanced to the next stage of the event. An interesting fact is that AG and TY lost their matches against HEROIC.
Lastly, we have BetBoom Team, Vici Gaming and Tundra Esports. All of them barely made it out because they had two wins and two losses at one point. Fortunately, each one secured a confident victory in the last series and will be moving to the Playoffs.
PGL Wallachia Season 7 Teams That are Going Home
Sadly, not all teams will advance to the Playoffs because we saw 8 eliminations. Here are the names of the Dota 2 teams that failed to impress us:
- Xtreme Gaming
- Natus Vincere
- Team Falcons
- OG
- Tallow Submarine
- MOUZ
- Team Nemesis
It’s safe to say that MOUZ is the biggest disappointment of all, especially considering it was the event’s defending champion. The team lost three matches in a row and was the first to be eliminated alongside Team Nemesis.
OG and Na’Vi also disappointed us because they were considered among the more stable squads, especially after DreamLeague Season 28. Na’Vi almost made it out of the group, but failed, whereas OG only secured one victory.
Xtreme Gaming is also a big disappointment, since many people considered it a hidden favorite. The Chinese got two victories and two losses after the start of the game, but they failed to keep the momentum.
Lastly, we have Yellow Submarine and PARIVISION. The CIS squad had one win, whereas PARIVISION had to play for its survival. Sadly, the squad was unable to show its prowess and lost the clash against Tundra Esports.
PGL Wallachia Season 7 Playoffs
The PGL Wallachia Season 7 Playoffs will begin on March 12 and the Grand Final will be on March 15. We will have a double-elimination bracket and will get the chance to see the 8 best Dota 2 teams so far. Don’t forget to watch all of the epic matches because it’s safe to say they will be interesting.
