The League of Legends Patch 26.6 preview is here and we have some interesting news. According to it, champions like Azir, Skarner and Tryndamere will be buffed, whereas Ahri and Pyke will be nerfed. Here’s what you need to know.
League of Legends Patch 26.6 Leaks
Riot decided to share more information about the upcoming LoL Patch 26.6, which will be available on March 18. According to it, the patch will be more targeted towards balance changes instead of introducing loads of new things.
It seems like Riot will continue to focus on biffs and nerfs to champions that are falling behind in the meta or are just too strong. The preview revealed that most of the champions getting buffs were not popular at all, whereas the nerfs impact those that are overpopular. Speaking of the buffs, here is a list of all champions that will get changes:
- Azir
- Cassiopeia
- Olaf
- Lissandra
- Skarner
- Tryndamere
It’s surprising that Azir appears on this list since he was already nerfed in Patch 26.5, specifically with a decrease to his base health growth. Riot buffing him shortly afterward might indicate they’re adjusting those nerfs to make sure he doesn’t end up being too weak.
Cassiopeia and Lissandra could also influence mid-lane diversity if their buffs turn out to be strong enough. Meanwhile, Olaf and Tryndamere remain classic reliable solo queue choices that often benefit a lot from these kinds of buffs.
In terms of nerfs, we have the following names:
- Ahri
- Pyke
- Shen
- Zaahen
Based on what we know, Zaahen and Shen will only be nerfed for their roles as junglers. Ahri and Puke, on the other hand, will get changes related to their mobility.
Champion Adjustments
Alongside the buffs and nerfs, the League of Legends Patch 26.6 will also bring champion adjustments. Karthus, for example, will get small changes that should make him more enjoyable to play. We will have to wait to see if there will be other names affected by these changes.
As for the release date, the LoL Patch 26.6 will be available on March 18.
