IEM Cologne 2024<\/strong> is an S-tier tournament that will be held from August 7<\/strong> to August 18<\/strong>. There will be 24 teams<\/strong> featured; eight got direct invites<\/strong>, and sixteen teams <\/strong>will have to fight through the Play-In stage<\/strong>. The prize pool is $1 million<\/strong>, and not only that, but 1st place<\/strong> in IEM Cologne 2024<\/strong> will also get a direct invite to IEM Katowice 2025<\/strong> and BLAST Premier World Final<\/strong>. IEM Cologne 2024 Tournament Format<\/h2>\n

Play-In:<\/h3>\n

  • Double-Elimination bracket<\/li>\n
  • Opening matches are Bo1<\/li>\n
  • All following matches are Bo3<\/li>\n
  • The top eight teams advance to the Group Stage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Group Stage:<\/h3>\n

    • Two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups<\/li>\n
    • Each group has eight teams<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • All matches are Bo3<\/li>\n
    • The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs:<\/li>\n
    • Group stage winners advance to the Semifinals<\/li>\n
    • Group stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds<\/li>\n
