British organization Into the Breach <\/strong>has announced its return to CS2<\/strong> by signing Owen<\/strong> ‘\u0098smooya<\/strong>‘\u0099 Butterfield<\/strong> to its new lineup.<\/p>\n

The British AWPer <\/strong>is the only player announced for Into the Breach’s<\/strong> squad. The organization has stated that it will announce the other four players within the next week.<\/p>\n

This announcement comes nearly four months after the disbandment of Into the Breach’s<\/strong> previous lineup. The international team featured players such as Aurimas ‘\u0098Bymas’\u0099 <\/strong>Pipiras and K\u00c3\u00a9vin ‘\u0098misutaaa’\u0099 <\/strong>Rabier. They secured direct qualification to the PGL Major Copenhagen Europe RMR A <\/strong>thanks to the team’s quarter-final showing at BLAST.tv Paris Major<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Into the Breach<\/strong> did not progress in their Copenhagen RMR<\/strong> campaign, finishing with a 0-3 record <\/strong>after losing to G2<\/strong>, BetBoom<\/strong>, and 3DMAX<\/strong>, dealing a fatal blow to that lineup.<\/p>\n

When asked about the new lineup, CEO Sam ‘\u0098SlayTheMinotaur’\u0099 <\/strong>Macdeonio of Into the Breach<\/strong> expressed his excitement: “The roster we’ve put together is amazing, and Smooya is the first piece of that puzzle. With Valve’s new ranking system, we’ll be working hard to earn points and improve our ranking. Our goal is to reach the<\/em> top 15<\/em><\/strong> with the support of our new investment and sponsor<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
