Tournament Overview<\/h2>\n

IEM Rio 2024<\/strong> is an S-Tier tournament with a $250,000<\/strong> prize pool that will be held from October 7 to October 13. There are sixteen teams featured, and the participant list also includes three of the world’s best teams, such as Natus Vincere<\/strong>, Vitality, <\/strong>and G2. <\/strong>First place at IEM Rio<\/strong> will not only get a $100,000<\/strong> share of the prize pool but also a spot at IEM Katowice 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tournament Format<\/h2>\n

Group Stage<\/h3>\n

  • Two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups<\/li>\n
  • Each group has eight teams<\/li>\n
  • Opening matches are Bo1<\/li>\n
  • All following matches are Bo3<\/li>\n
  • The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs<\/li>\n
  • Group stage winners advance to the Semifinals<\/li>\n
  • Group stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds<\/li>\n
  • Group stage 3rd place teams advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
