M80 <\/strong>has recently made an exciting addition to their team by signing 19-year-old talent Mason ‘Lake’ <\/strong>Sanderson. This move comes as a response to the departure of Mario ‘malbsMd’ Samayoa to G2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘Lake’ <\/strong>is a mysterious presence on the international scene, having participated in 172 maps <\/strong>on HLTV over a span of 17 months<\/strong>. Surprisingly, ‘Lake’ <\/strong>has only competed in two North American LAN events: Fragicago 2023<\/strong> and the lesser-known Launders LAN 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He has been catching attention in the domestic scene since joining Carpe Diem <\/strong>in January. He has impressed with a 1.13 rating<\/strong>, 1.32 impact rating<\/strong>, and 85.2 ADR <\/strong>over 51 maps<\/strong>. He has also attempted a number of opening duels similar to ‘malbsMd’ <\/strong>in the ESL Challenger League<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

M80 <\/strong>has the chance to develop new talent by utilizing the overlap in roles and the potential of the 19-year-old rather than seeking transfers from other organizations. This will also help maintain the team’s majority Americas roster status for the Shanghai Major RMR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

‘Lake’ <\/strong>has a daunting task ahead as he makes his debut for M80 <\/strong>against Vitality <\/strong>at the Esports World Cup<\/strong> on July 17<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
