Ninjas in Pyjamas<\/strong> has revealed that Max ‘\u2060maxster\u2060’ <\/strong>Jansson has been placed on the bench by mutual agreement with the 20-year-old player, and he will not be part of the team\u2019s plans for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Maxster’ <\/strong>was put on the injured list in October prior to the team’s participation in Elisa Masters Espoo<\/strong>, where they were eliminated early following defeats against B8 <\/strong>and JANO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob ‘jocab’ <\/strong>Nerheden, who was promoted from the academy team to compete in Finland, stayed with the team during the Thunderpick World Championship<\/strong>, Svenska Cuppen<\/strong> \u2014 where Ninjas in Pyjamas <\/strong>fell to Metizport in the grand final \u2014 and YaLLa Compass Fall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ninjas in Pyjamas<\/strong> later revealed that ‘jocab’ <\/strong>would stay with the team for the Perfect World Shanghai Major RMR<\/strong>, with general manager Bj\u00f6rn ‘\u2060THREAT\u2060’<\/strong> Pers clarifying that \u201cthis is not a benching of Max nor an elevation of jocab.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Maxster’ <\/strong>emerged two days later and reassured that he was recovering well; however, the team preferred not to expedite his comeback, planning for his return in 2025. That plan has changed, as both parties are now exploring an exit strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ninjas in Pyjamas<\/strong> faced significant challenges during ‘maxster’s <\/strong>tenure, primarily because of roster instability, resulting in group stage eliminations at ESL Pro League Seasons 19 <\/strong>and 20, and at BLAST Premier Fall Groups<\/strong>. However, he was also part of the squad that secured a second-place finish at YaLLa Compass<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
