Virtus.pro <\/strong>has placed longtime player Dzhami ‘Jame’ <\/strong>Ali on the bench, as announced by the Russian organization on Wednesday. This decision follows the team’s lackluster season, which ended with an early exit during the Opening Stage<\/strong> at the Shanghai Major<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Jame’ <\/strong>has been part of Virtus.pro<\/strong> since December 2019, when the Russian organization took over the AVANGAR <\/strong>roster and decided to end its association with the Polish team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He led Virtus.pro<\/strong> to triumph in Flashpoint 2<\/strong> and cs_summit 7<\/strong> during the online era. At the close of 2021, he took charge of Outsiders<\/strong>\u2014a neutral identity after numerous tournament organizers excluded Virtus.pro<\/strong> due to their perceived connections with the Russian government\u2014to secure the IEM Rio Major<\/strong> title in a surprising performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Russian team struggled to meet expectations after the IEM Rio<\/strong> campaign. In 2023, Virtus.pro <\/strong>won three LAN trophies at tier-two events and reached finals at PARI Dunav Party<\/strong> and BetBoom Dacha<\/strong>. However, their performance declined in 2024, despite the high-profile signing of Denis ‘electroNic’<\/strong> Sharipov in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latter part of the season was quite chaotic for Virtus.pro<\/strong>. The team underwent two coaching changes \u2014 first replacing Dastan ‘\u2060dastan\u2060’ <\/strong>Akbayev with Andrey ‘Xoma\u2060’ <\/strong>Mironenko, and then elevating analyst Pavel ‘PASHANOJ\u2060’ <\/strong>Legostaev to the position of head coach \u2014 in an effort to finish the season on a high note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virtus.pro<\/strong> started their RMR journey with a surprising defeat against Passion UA<\/strong> but quickly recovered with wins over TSM<\/strong>, 9 Pandas<\/strong>, and Sashi<\/strong>. Their weaknesses were then exposed during the Opening Stage<\/strong> of the Major, where they ended up eliminated with a 1-3 record <\/strong>after losing to MIBR<\/strong>, BIG<\/strong>, and Wildcard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A player who has been recognized twice in the HLTV Top 20<\/strong>, ‘Jame’ <\/strong>is currently considering offers to further his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
