Tons of people visited the venues in <strong>Jakarta and Bandung<\/strong>, and millions watched them online. It seems like most League of Legends tournaments are going up in popularity, and this one is no exception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most viewed Esports events in 2024 took place in Chengdu, China. <strong>12<\/strong> of the best League of Legends teams had a fierce <strong>battle for $250,000<\/strong> and that priceless Worlds qualification spot. As expected, the participants gave everything they got, but in the end, <strong>Gen.G Esports was above the rest<\/strong>. However, this was not the case because Faker and the rest lost the clash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The loss definitely disappointed some of their fans, but it\u2019s safe to say that it boosted LCK Spring 2024\u2019s popularity. If we focus on the event\u2019s stats, we can see that it secured very close to <strong>2.65M <\/strong>peak viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of what happened at the event, T1 was unable to take down Gen.G Esports. Unsurprisingly, one of the biggest Mobile Legends games was also among the most popular ones, with close to <strong>2.38M<\/strong> peak viewers. This makes it more popular than all of the Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 events that took place in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the reasons why so many people tuned in to watch the competition was because of the prize pool. With <strong>more than $3,050,000 on the line,<\/strong> this became one of the events with the highest prize pools of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking place in Riyadh, the teams did everything possible to win. In the end, the <strong>Grand Final<\/strong> was between Selangor Red Giants and Falcon AP. Bren. After a fierce battle, Selangor Red Giants won the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Closing thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we have seen, League of Legends and Mobile Legends <strong>dominated <\/strong>the 2024 Esports scene in terms of popularity. Although Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 are leading the chart in terms of prize money, their tournaments weren\u2019t as big as those here.<br><br>We will have to wait and see if 2025 will yield the same results.
