BIG <\/strong>has announced that they are parting ways with Swiss rifler Rigon ‘rigoN’ <\/strong>Gashi, who will be a free agent starting January 1 after spending six months with the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

rigoN\u2019s <\/strong>tenure with BIG <\/strong>was challenging as he and the German team worked to combine varying play styles and requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several months later, during the RMR event in Shanghai, Jon ‘JDC’ <\/strong>de Castro mentioned that ‘rigoN’ <\/strong>“is doing everything he can to integrate into the system while we do our utmost to encourage his wild side,” but ultimately, it wasn\u2019t meant to happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though the pieces didn’t consistently align well, BIG <\/strong>reached the top 16 at the Major in Shanghai, defeating Passion UA<\/strong>, Virtus.pro<\/strong>, and Complexity <\/strong>in the process, but ultimately fell short against HEROIC<\/strong>, G2,<\/strong> and paiN <\/strong>in the Elimination Stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the Major, BIG <\/strong>faced significant challenges in the latter part of 2024, failing to progress past the group stage or play-in in every Big Event. They did reach the final at the smaller ESL Challenger Atlanta<\/strong>, but ultimately lost to FlyQuest <\/strong>right at the finish line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
