FlyQuest <\/strong>has revealed that in-game leader Christopher ‘dexter’ <\/strong>Nong will no longer be a starter for the team, as the 30-year-old has been placed on the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement follows closely behind FlyQuest’s <\/strong>elimination from ESL Pro League Season 21<\/strong> in Stage 1<\/strong>, after suffering a tough defeat to local opponents TYLOO <\/strong>in the decisive 2-2 match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FlyQuest <\/strong>has had a challenging beginning to the year, suffering early departures at PGL Cluj-Napoca <\/strong>with a 0-3 record<\/strong>, at IEM Katowice<\/strong> with consecutive losses in the play-in stage, and finishing in 13-16th place at BLAST Bounty<\/strong>, where they secured a victory against MIBR <\/strong>but were ultimately defeated by the champions, Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘dexter’ <\/strong>has been part of the Australian team’s starting lineup since early 2024, following his three-year period in Europe with MOUZ <\/strong>and fnatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his period with FlyQuest<\/strong>, the team faced difficulties at major events, not advancing past the play-in or group stages in any instances except for the extended ESL Pro League Season 19<\/strong>, where they were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs, finishing in 9-12th place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FlyQuest <\/strong>was in a strong position to advance beyond the Challenger Stage <\/strong>at the Perfect World Major <\/strong>in Shanghai <\/strong>after gaining a 2-0 lead, but they stumbled in the best-of-three matches and were reversed swept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The standout moment of dexter’s <\/strong>tenure was a win at the smaller ESL Challenger Atlanta<\/strong>, where he and his team claimed the trophy after defeating BetBoom<\/strong>, SAW<\/strong>, Wildcard<\/strong>, and BIG<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
