Liquid <\/strong>has revealed that Torbj\u00f8rn ‘\u2060mithR\u2060’ <\/strong>Nyborg will be resigning from his position as head coach. Jay ‘DeMars DeRover’ <\/strong>Li, who is currently serving as an analyst, will take over as the interim head coach while Liquid <\/strong>“looks into all coaching possibilities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘\u2060mithR\u2060’ <\/strong>became a part of Liquid <\/strong>in the middle of 2024 as the organization aimed to recover from the dissolution of a roster that included Casper ‘cadiaN\u2060’ <\/strong>M\u00f8ller, Felipe ‘skullz\u2060’ <\/strong>Medeiros, and Wilton ‘zews\u2060’ <\/strong>Prado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dane quickly teamed up with Justin ‘jks’ <\/strong>Savage and Roland ‘ultimate’ <\/strong>Tomkowiak, while Russel ‘Twistzz’ <\/strong>Van Dulken assumed the role of in-game leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liquid <\/strong>accomplished little of significance under ‘mithR’s <\/strong>leadership, frequently failing to qualify for the playoffs in major events and never placing better than 5-6th. Their most remarkable achievements were in the ESL Pro League<\/strong>, where they finished 5-8th in both seasons 20 and 21, and at the Perfect World Shanghai Major<\/strong>, where they similarly ended up in 5-8th place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that mithR’s <\/strong>efforts to assist ‘Twistzz’ <\/strong>in becoming an in-game leader did not succeed, as the Canadian is anticipated to relinquish the role to ‘siuhy’ <\/strong>if ‘siuhy’ <\/strong>joins Liquid <\/strong>in the near future, as is expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
