Key names like ‘NiKo’<\/strong> and ‘m0NESY’<\/strong> are no longer part of the roster, and this marks a full new chapter for G2’s <\/strong>identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

G2<\/strong> has been struggling with its T-side results, and ‘Snax’ <\/strong>helped them a lot to improve, but despite solid performance upgrades, the team clearly decided to pivot toward a younger, faster core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mat\u00fa\u0161 ‘MATYS’ <\/strong>\u0160imko is an aggressive rifler from Slovakia, known for his confidence in aim duels and smart spacing. At just 21, he’s already built a solid reputation through strong individual showings with Fnatic. ‘MATYS’ <\/strong>was the second highest rated player for team Fnatic <\/strong>with a rating of 1.12<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

huNter- Takes Over as IGL<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With no traditional in-game on the roster, ‘huNter-‘<\/strong> is stepping up to lead, both tactically and emotionally. Even though he doesn’t have that experience leading the top team, he has everything he needs to do so. He is known to be a vocal player, and he knows how this team works as he has been playing for G2 <\/strong>since 2019. The only thing that might get worse for him is his fragging ability as he will be distracted by being an in-game leader, but the new player should make up for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Will G2\u2019s Style Change?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is hard to say at this moment as it will be a new experience for both sides, for ‘huNter-‘<\/strong> as in-game leader, and for the players under the new leadership. G2 <\/strong>had problems with T-side performance before ‘Snax’, <\/strong>and he helped them to fix that, but something still was not enough to win against elite-level teams, and bringing a skilled rifler, putting another experienced player to lead the team, might help to fix it. Their style might become more aggressive as they have much more firepower now on paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s Next: Schedule and Expectations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the revamped lineup, fans are eager to see G2’s <\/strong>debut at the next LAN \u2014 IEM Cologne<\/a>, <\/strong>which will be held from July 23 <\/strong>to August 3<\/strong>. We will witness the first steps of ‘huNter’ <\/strong>as in-game leader and how quickly their new rifler ‘MATYS’ <\/strong>adapts to an elite-level competition, and if it will be enough firepower now without the gone ‘m0NESY’ <\/strong>and ‘NiKo’<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This isn’t just a role swap \u2014 it’s a philosophical reset for G2<\/strong>. Moving on from their former core and betting on huNter-‘s <\/strong>leadership and ‘MATYS’ <\/strong>promise signals a long-term rebuild, not a quick fix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
